Omschrijving
Create your own library cabinet, who doesn’t want that? This stackable bookcase is perfect for that. The cabinet consists of a 15 cm baseboard with two separate 45 cm high stacking parts and three 35 cm high stacking parts with a 10 cm high cornice on top. These parts can be stacked randomly, so you can easily compose your own library with this and further expand it with different options, such as open parts with a shelf, sliding doors, drawers etc.
Furthermore, this cabinet is made of coconut wood which is a very durable product. Coconut wood is harder than oak and other commonly used types of wood. It also has a warm and exclusive look. Oiled coconut wood stands out because of its special needle drawing. Because of its dark brown color, the wood is sometimes compared to the luxurious wenge wood, which is also called “the black gold. For good reason coconut wood is attracting the interest of designers and (garden) architects.
The coconut palm (Cocos Nucifera L.) used to be used only for the production of coconuts. The moment the coconut palm stopped producing fruit, it was cut down and burned to make way for young productive coconut palms. Until it was discovered that parts of the trunk are excellent as wood. This is how waste gets a second life: the trunks are now collected, sawn, dried and processed into an exclusive raw material with the appearance of tropical hardwood.
